Christine - Shadow's Mum
Jazz at Hammonds, Hounds and Hooves is quite simply an amazing dog trainer but more than that she understands animals so well, takes time to understand those that need a little extra help or a different approach and she makes a plan specifically tailored to you and your dog.
I was pretty much at my wits end when I contacted her, I have a beautiful Collie cross rescue called Shadow but his reactivity was getting more and more challenging even making walks difficult as he’d started to lunge at some larger vehicles going past and I was worried for his safety and my back! He also reacts to horses and we live on a farm where he’s surrounded by them so you can imagine the difficulties!
Jazz has taught me so much about understanding Shadow and why he reacts and has identified some key things like noise sensitivity that I would have never linked to some of his behaviour. This has enabled me to avoid putting him in situations where he struggles to cope whilst we help him build confidence.
She also adores him and sees so much of what he can do. He has an awesome brain and she has really helped me engage that in our play and activities. Owning a reactive dog can sometimes draw negativity from others that can feel really hard when you’re trying to help your dog. I really feel like Shadow and I have someone on our side, we love every minute we spend with Jazz in our ongoing sessions in which he’s making amazing progress. -
Liz - Jess' Mum
Our dog Jessica has just finished her training with Jazz. Jessica struggled on the lead and at times out of frustration came across aggressive towards other dogs and passers by. She also was nervous around people she didn’t know, Jazz on the other hand she fell in love with straight away and loved seeing her. Through 5 sessions of training with Jazz she has made such a wonderful transformation. Jazz has shown so much care, love and support towards our dog, and encourages myself and my husband too. Jazz also is very patient and calm and extremely knowledgeable, which makes the training sessions so much fun for Jessica and we learn so many tools too, which make Jessica a happier and safer dog on walks. We will definitely keep in touch and show Jazz all Jessica’s updates, and we can’t thank her enough. Jessica has a new best friend and she can’t wait to give Jazz a lovely slobbery kiss soon. Thankyou for all you help lovely. xxx

Rachel - Rolo's mum
Jazz has been so amazing to work with. Our dog warmed to her straight away and she was so helpful and encouraging in our sessions. Her written reports after each session were so useful and she had lots of other helpful tips too. I'd recommend her to anyone!!

Anna - Nanook's mum
We’ve been working with Jazz, with our reactive dog, for a number of months now. As an Irish Terrier (a breed which is known to be difficult to train) I wanted to ensure we found the right trainer for our pup and after unsuccessful attempts with other behaviourists my confidence was low that we would actually find someone - but I’m delighted to say we did with Jazz!
Jazz has been excellent in helping us understand and work through some pretty strong reactivity problems with our boy. Not only has she been patient and understanding, she is super relatable and down to earth and it is extremely evident that she eats, sleeps and breaths her job. It’s been a pleasure working with someone who is so clearly passionate about helping dogs reach their best potential and I’m happy to say whilst we aren’t quite 100% where we want to be with our pup yet, I now truly believe we will get there if we keep consistently practicing the tools Jazz has taught us - if you’re ready to put in the work needed and are looking for a great trainer you’ve found her! Can’t recommend Jazz enough 😊 -
Helen - Kacey's Mum
Ok, so I have an almost 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel which we got in August 2019. I was convinced he was not a Covid puppy, but with help of Jazz, I think although he went to puppy training, he was then locked down. Jazz has given me so many ideas and tools to use going forwards and after 5 sessions she has given me so much confidence going forwards, I am forever grateful as I am now on my own and want to do the best for my boy. I believe we will be ok 😘. Thank you Jazz xx

Laura - Loki's Mum
Jazz walks my husky Loki, he's always excited to see her and I feel reassured that he's safe and happy in her care.
He's a typical husky and full of energy, I have noticed a positive change in his reactiveness to other dogs, he seems a lot more relaxed on his walks now, and even pulling less!
I love seeing the photos from their walkies, he comes back nice and tired.
Jazz has been such a help and is really knowledgeable and professional.
If you want someone that genuinely cares, I fully recommend Hammonds Hounds & Hooves. -
Joe - Gus' dad
Couldn’t recommend Jazz enough - Helped turn our hyperactive French bulldog into a calmer, more well behaved and happier hound through some great training and techniques (for us as much as the dog!) that we continue to use to amazing effect.
We’ve started using jazz’s walking service after our incredible training and Gus loves getting to see her regularly now!
If you’re looking for a knowledgable, caring trainer for your dog you’ll struggle to find batter than Hammonds Hounds & Hooves in my opinion - thanks for everything Jazz! -
BRYONY - Maze's Mum
Jazz is amazing! We took our new puppy (Maze) to the 5 week puppy course and not only did we learn a huge amount on how to train with Maze, but it was a great way for her to socialise with other dogs. We also did the recall workshop and its incredible to see the progress, Maze has come on leaps and bounds and can't recommend Jazz enough! Thank you

Absolutely brilliant! Jazz is so lovely and very accommodating to your dogs needs. We completed both the loose lead walking workshop and the recall workshop and have seen great results with our 8 month old pup! We can’t recommend enough!!
