Hi, I’m Jazz, the owner & head trainer here at Hammonds Hounds & Hooves. I am a dog trainer & behaviourist with a special focus on reactivity and Spitz-type breeds. My journey into dog training began with my own reactive Shiba Inu, whose behavioural challenges inspired me to dive deeper into understanding reactivity and how it affects both dogs and their owners. This personal experience gives me a unique insight into the frustrations and emotions you may be feeling, and it drives my compassionate, science-based approach to helping you and your dog.

I’m accredited with The Dog Training College and continuously update my knowledge through CPD on the latest science-backed methods. I believe in working holistically, building a genuine partnership with both you and your dog. Together, we’ll tackle challenges, celebrate wins, and make progress in a way that feels good for everyone involved.

My approach is centered around positive reinforcement and the wellbeing of your dog. I do not use outdated or punitive methods—instead, I rely on proven, modern techniques that not only motivate your dog but also strengthen the bond between you. Whether your dog struggles with reactivity or simply needs guidance in fostering better behaviour, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

From general training, such as loose lead walking, recall or getting that perfect pub settle. To specialised training for behavioural challenges, I tailor my approach to the unique needs and personalities of each dog. Through my work, I aim to empower dog owners with the skills and knowledge needed to foster a positive, loving, and harmonious relationship with their pets.
